Why did I choose this career?

Since I was little I played to be a teacher, at that time my stuffed animals and my dolls were my most faithful students, I took different colors from my mother's markers, I wrote in the windows of my house simulating that it was a blackboard and that it was in the classroom.
I wrote in everything I found, my mom's notebooks when I was studying, my sister's notebooks, the benches, the walls, everything was perfect to leave my mark.
I remember that I once drew on the walls of my aunt's house. The hills, the houses, the trees, the flowers, the children and the two suns in a green tinge looked very good on that meaningless white wall (Yes, my mother wanted to die when she saw my artwork hahaha).
Between stripes on the walls and games with my stuffed animals is that I think that unconsciously my mind and my heart decided about the career I had to study. I choose Nursery Education.
It was not always what I wanted to study, I believe that one goes through different stages of life, growth; knowledge and learning that help us make decisions in the future. I arrived at a time when I did not know what to study, I wanted to be super conscious when choosing and talking with my friends about my aspirations, I wanted to be happy. I want to be what the other deserves to receive, love, empathy, security and a lot of respect, and many other things.
I want to work in rural areas or vulnerable sectors. I always thought that education is the way to combat poverty, not only in the economic and intellectually aspect.
Consequently, in 2015 I applied for a Social Work career at the Catholic University of Maule, but I needed time, so I decided to dedicate myself one year before start the University.
The following year I entered Infant Education at the University of Chile, I made this decision, because during the sabbatical I worked with children and, as expected, I had a lot of fun.
So far my experience at the university has been quite pleasant, I met very nice people, I have enjoyed it, I have also doubted it and, at times, I have been afraid. But I decided to continue and I was not wrong, but above all, I GROWN

  3. Dear valentina!
How great that since you were a child you have had signs of studying in the future. Like you, I consider that in life you go through many stages, and that every experience and decisions taken are what makes you the person you are today.
It's good that you study what you really like and that for the same reason you took your time to decide.
    Loves :)

Hello Valentina! your story is very interesting and fun to think about your mother seeing your drawings in her notebooks, when I was a child I also played to be a teacher, I hope you achieve all your goals, and that you manage to work at home in a rural environment, I think it is the dream of every teacher. Bring education everywhere!
